Thoughts about privacy, power, and democracy
with a little art & soul thrown in

federalist papers 0

I have this idea that I’ll read the Federalist Papers and write a bit about my thoughts regarding each one. If you don’t know what the Federalist Papers are, The Library of Congress is a good resource. I’ll be using the Project Gutenberg epub which draws from a variety of sources.

I’m writing for my own edification and learning. Hope it helps you too. The above is all you’re gonna get by way of citations. Probably.

The idea in my head is that I’ll comment on all eighty-five but that’s uncertain. Unlikely? Rather, I should say it’s highly possible I’ll get bored. Or annoyed. What little I’ve seen as a reader in this particularly fascist moment in our nation is that the papers are unlikely to be as democratic or brilliant as the standard historical narrative purports them to be. Yes, annoyance seems likely.

Annoyance is likely because I am generally annoyed at the state of our country and the fact that I’m discovering that things have never been what we’ve been told. And I’ve arrived at this…

The system works. Just not for you. Build a better one.
